BLAST Sport and Fitness is a dry land conditioning program that utilizes equipment and exercise techniques and training methodology, developed by Exercise physiologist and 11 year veteran NHL Head Conditioning Coach : Peter Twist & the Twist Conditioning Team. These techniques have been modified to suit the health and safety needs of young developing athletes.
BLAST exercise programs improve movement patterns and optimize core strength. Expect improvements in balance, rotary movement, read and re-act skills, speed, agility and co-ordination while reducing ones risk of injury. BLAST programs will enhance performance in all forms of sport and athletics.
BLAST offers classes to individual children as well as teams. Parents are encouraged to participate in their child?s training and coaches and teachers are welcome to personalize the BLAST programs to suit their team?s needs. BLAST offers teams and individuals professional assistance in developing specific workouts, nutritional considerations and help setting attainable goals. Attention is also given to team building and sport psychology.
BLAST is mobile. Our equipment and trainers can host workshops at any suitable location, such as schools or team facilities, practices (indoor and/or outdoor). If you don?t have a facility in mind ? name the area and we will search out a spot close to you.
